Using Whelpify on your phone

What this is for

Most of what breeders do in a hurry happens away from a desk: a puppy photo in the whelping box, a payment logged at the door, a message answered in the car. The dashboard rearranges itself on a phone so those things are one tap away.

Where to find it

There is nothing to install. Open the same Whelpify address in your phone browser and sign in. The sidebar is replaced by a bar along the bottom of the screen.

The bottom bar

From left to right:

1. Home goes to your dashboard home page.
2. Puppies goes to your puppy list.
3. The round button in the middle opens Quick add.
4. Messages opens your inbox. See messages: your inbox.
5. Menu opens everything else.

Quick add

Tap the round button and a sheet slides up with the six things breeders add most:

• Add Puppy, to post a new puppy to your site
• Add Litter, to announce a litter
• Add Dog, to add a parent dog
• Add Waitlist Entry, to log a new family or lead
• Record a Payment, to log cash, Zelle, or another offline method
• Upload Photos, to add to your media library

Tap anywhere outside the sheet to close it without choosing anything.

The full menu

Tap Menu and the same groups you would see in the sidebar appear as a grid: Overview, Breeding, Customers, Website, and Account. The page you are on is highlighted. At the bottom is View Your Site, which opens your public website in a new tab.

The top of the screen

The bar across the top keeps three controls on a phone: a search button that opens the command menu, the bell for your notifications, and your initials for Account & Billing, Site Settings, View Site, and Log Out.

The round Support button floats above the bottom bar. Tap it any time to send a message to the Whelpify team.

Checking your own site on a phone

Most of your buyers will meet you on a phone, so it is worth looking at what they see. Tap Menu, then View Your Site.

A tour as a buyer sees it walks through the rest of that view.

Common questions

Can I do everything from my phone?

Nearly. Adding dogs, litters, puppies, waitlist families, payments, photos, and replies all work well on a phone. Long jobs like rebuilding a page in the page builder are easier on a bigger screen.

Is there an app to download?

No. Whelpify runs in your phone browser, so you always have the current version and nothing to update.

Why does my bottom bar look different from a screenshot?

The bar is the same for everyone, but the Menu grid follows how you sell. Kennels that take inquiries only do not see Offers.

Where did the sidebar go?

It becomes the Menu sheet on small screens. On a tablet held wide, or any larger screen, the sidebar comes back.
